This study seeks to provide processed data which will help the design engineer determine the earthquake ground motion that will drive a structure to its critical response. The data identifies the severity and damage potential of ground motions that are part of a database containing 1470 horizontal and 527 vertical components. The report presents the results of the continuation of research initiated in 1993 as part of Naeim’s Professional Fellowship, which had been titled Classification and Evaluation of Earthquake Records for Design. August 1996, 427 pp.
